Hope in Focus is a special initiative designed to support families with a child who is battling a serious illness or living with a disability. Through this program, families receive a complimentary photo session and the option for professionally printed photos, ensuring they have beautiful, lasting memories of their time together. Understanding the unique challenges these families face, "Hope in Focus " offers a stress-free and compassionate environment where their love and resilience can be celebrated. Each session is tailored to the child’s needs, creating meaningful images that capture their spirit. The program’s mission is to provide these families with not just photos, but a source of hope, joy, and comfort through difficult times.

How Hope in Focus Works

  • 1. Nominate a Family

    Nominate a family through the form below for a free photo session.

  • 2. Donate Photo Prints

    You can elect to make a donation to the family you nominated to cover the costs of professionally printed photos.

  • 3. Session Scheduling

    I reach out to the family to find a time and place that works for them for their free photo session.

  • 4. Photo Delivery

    I deliver the photos from the session through an online downloadable gallery.

  • 5. Ordering Prints

    If you or someone else donated money for the family to order prints they can order professionally printed photos for their home at no cost to them.

  • 6. Never-ending Moments

    The family is able to cherish the meaningful moments from the session for a lifetime.

  • I was born with an enlarged heart. As a child I didn’t know the impact but knowing the stress my family went through when I was a baby and a kid growing up will always have in impact in my family. I want to give back to those families who deal with the struggle of the unknown on a daily basis by giving them a sense of hope and memories to look back on for the rest of their lives.

    I recently shot a free session for a family whose son is going through leukemia treatments. I did this as a way to provide joy and hope. As a result, I thought why not give back through my talents to many other families who are going through similar life experiences.

  • Simply nominating a family is a great way to make a positive impact on their lives of a family that is special to you.

    If you would like to donate to cover the cost of professionally printed photos you will allow the family to print the photos from a professional printer at no cost to them.

  • Absolutely! I give my time and services free of charge to help the family you nominate.

    The family still has the option to purchase prints whether a donation is made or not.

  • Families typically spend anywhere from $50-800 on printing depending on how many photos they select and the size of the prints.

    15 minute photo sessions typically produce anywhere from 30-100 photos for the family to choose from.

  • Currently it is not. This is considered a direct gift to the family that is credited to the family’s photo gallery for them to order prints at no cost to them.

    My end goal is to grow this program to include other photographers and eventually make this a non-profit organization where donations would be tax deductible.

If you do not have a specific family in mind you can still donate and your gift will be applied to a family who is nominated.

Note donations are not tax deductible at this time. Funds are credited to the family's online gallery for them to select professionally printed photos at no cost to them.
