Giving back to military-connected and veteran families through the gift of photography.
Hope in Focus is a partnership between AEM Creative Photography and Hope For The Warriors providing complimentary beach photography experiences to military and veteran families along the North Carolina coast.
Four families. Every year. Completely complimentary.
About Hope in Focus
Hope in Focus was created around a simple idea: use photography to give back to families who have given so much through service.
Through a partnership with Hope For The Warriors, AEM Creative Photography provides four military and veteran families each year with a completely complimentary beach photography experience.
Hope For The Warriors identifies participating families through the communities and families they serve. From there, AEM Creative Photography takes care of the entire experience - from planning and scheduling to the photography session and delivery of the family's complete professionally edited gallery.
Sessions take place primarily on Topsail Island and Emerald Isle, giving families an opportunity to spend time together, enjoy the North Carolina coast and leave with meaningful photographs they can keep for years to come.
There is no cost to participating families.
How Hope in Focus Works
-
1. HOPE Selects a Family
Hope For The Warriors identifies military and veteran families connected to the organization to participate in Hope in Focus.
-
2. We Plan Their Experience
Once selected, AEM Creative Photography connects directly with the family to plan their complimentary beach photography session on Topsail Island or Emerald Isle.
-
3. We Create Memories
Families enjoy a relaxed photography experience along the North Carolina coast focused on connection, time together and capturing meaningful moments.
As part of each session, we'll also capture a special photograph with the Hope For The Warriors flag to commemorate the family's participation in Hope in Focus.
-
4. Their Photos Are Theirs to Keep
Each family receives a complete professionally edited digital gallery at no cost, giving them photographs they can download, share, print and enjoy for years to come.
My connection with Hope For The Warriors started behind the camera.
For the past three years, I've had the privilege of volunteering my photography at the Hope For The Warriors Celebrity Invitational, along with donating photography for other needs within the organization.
What began as an opportunity to volunteer my time has grown into a cause I genuinely care about supporting.
Photography is what I do every day, and Hope in Focus gives me an opportunity to use that skill in a different way—to give military and veteran families something meaningful that's entirely about them and the people they love.
I'm incredibly grateful to Hope For The Warriors for helping make this program possible and for identifying the families I'll have the privilege of photographing each year.

In Partnership With Hope For The Warriors
Hope For The Warriors is a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting the post-9/11 military community, including veterans, active-duty service members, military caregivers, spouses and families, as well as families of the fallen.
For nearly 20 years, HOPE has helped military families navigate the challenges that can come with military life and the transition that follows service. Their programs provide support ranging from critical needs assistance and clinical care for mental and physical well-being to opportunities that help members of the military community connect with one another.
At the heart of their work is a commitment to helping military families build resilience, find purpose and thrive. I'm proud to partner with Hope For The Warriors through Hope in Focus and support the families they serve.
